The Algerian war for indepedence from France started in 1954 and ended in 1962. The National Liberation Front was a socialist political party in Algeria set up in 1954 to unit all the organizatioms to fight against France. Finally, in 1962 France signed a cease-fire agreement with the National Liberation Front, in July of that year, the Algerian people voted and approved of the agreement with France.
Libya:
Libya achieved independence from Italy in December 1951. When Italy lost in World War II, The United NationsAssembly granted Libya it independence, the United Nations would watch out on the internal development of libya.
Southern Africa:
Kenya:
Between 1969 and 1982, Kenya was a de facto one-party state.
In November 1991, Kenya had become a multi-party state, governed by a united central government.
The government has decentralized the focus for development by designating administrative districts as the focal points for rural development.
Congo:
Congo gained independence in 1960 and the name Middle Congo turned into the Republic of the Congo.
In 1990 the experimentation with Marxism was abandoned.
A short civil war had brought the Marxist leader Denis Sassou-Nguesso, and he ushered in a period of ethnic and political unrest.
India:
Formed in 1885 by Allan Octavian Hume, Dadabhai Naoroji, and Sir Dinshaw Edulji Wacha.
Dominated the Indian movement for independance from Great Britain.
Congress declared they would not help Britain in the war effort until they recieved independence.
